That is data grouped with the same label (e.g. species names) and covering all variation within that group. The data here is a combination of flowcytometric attributes data (Length, Total, Maximum of the signals), the detected signals per particle and if available the images of the particles/ algae.

A database can be built (in EasyClus) by several methods and edited (such as changing names) in the database editor.

A database is used for supervised clustering such as RULES (a model is made in the background) and LASSO (selections sets/ lasso's are made in the background). New groups can be added to the existing database.

The DESIGN2 unsupervised clustering method is the default one for clustering in EasyClus. Use three scatterplot combinations (TSWS-TFLR, TLFR-TFLO, TFLR-TFLY) also found by the button 'DEFAULT plots'. Use as default Grid=50, Neighb.distance=3, Press button 'New empty database' if you want to begin with a new clean database.

From here (after clustering) you can easily add clusters to a database. This database can be used for the supervised data clustering methods (RULES, LASSO or HYBRID).
